North West Sydney

Priority growth areas were established by the NSW Government as key locations to invest into greenfield urban growth. Growth is targeted into sectors including housing, employment, education, health, shops, parks, bushland, and infrastructure.

One of the highest-performing priority growth areas in NSW, the north-west continues to be a leader in providing Sydney new housing, employment, education, infrastructure and lifestyle.

Population growth of around 22% over the past 10 years and around 92,400 more residents expected by 2026.

Around 18,000 new homes delivered over the past 8 years and around 15,000 new homes expected over the next 5 years.

Residential Developments

Over three-quarters of the north west priority growth area now rezoned for development, including North Kellyville, Box Hills, Riverstone and Marsden Park.

Major investment into roads, including the North Connex motorway – which links linking the M1 Pacific Motorway to the M2. More urban development planned around the Outer Sydney Orbital and Bells Line of Road corridors.
